Photo Gallery - Remodel of Museum building to be ready for May 1, 2010 opening

As we work to remodel our building out at Ft Harrison State Park, we will post pictures of the progress.  IDNR is remodeling their Park Office to house the Nature Center as well, this will make it a Visitor Center where you can get your fishing license, park pass, maps and general park information all in one place.  For us, it gives us a building to house permanent displays for the museum's artifact collection.

The uniform closet gets a layer of cedar to protect the uniforms from the bugs!!

Getting the work shop together is a first "Must Have" to get the rest of the work accomplished

Even during the remodel, we follow the "Greening Government" and recycle!!!

Once the room was emptied by IDNR, it didn't take long for us to begin emptying storage units and filling the rooms!!

This display case is built right into the wall, just a coat of paint and an idea of how to use it.

The Main Gallery is a BIG SPACE - but we can fill it.

The entry way has had a little touch of the military added to it already, airborne camo....

A new coat of paint for the kitchen, and a good scrubbing by our "Queen of the Kitchen"

The Homefront Display begins to take shape...  to be continued.....
